Dementia is more than just forgetting. The Dementia and (N)u program aims to help family caregivers better understand and cope with dementia. During a maximum of six to seven meetings, participants discuss themes such as empathy for the changing perception and behavior, dealing with care, communication, control issues, safety and self-care. Participants experience recognition and support during these meetings. If desired, participants can join the fellow sufferers contact after the training. Here participants come together to exchange experiences. The Mantelzorg support center in Etten-Leur facilitates this.
