Mantel Care Appreciation
The municipality of Etten-Leur appreciates all informal caregivers who dedicate themselves to the residents of Etten-Leur. Informal caregivers are of indescribable value. The municipality therefore wants to show its appreciation for volunteer caregivers with an attention. Via a KoopLokaal voucher, the municipality gives the opportunity to select a nice gift from a local entrepreneur. Surplus arranges this appreciation on behalf of the municipality.
The informal care appreciation is for informal caregivers who provide care to a person requiring care. The appreciation can be applied for by volunteer caregivers if they meet the established volunteer care criteria of the Etten-Leur municipality. One of the conditions is that per caretaker, a maximum of two caretakers can be registered.

Young caregivers
Are you younger than 20 and do you care for someone close to you who is ill, has a disability or needs extra support? Then you are a young caregiver. The municipality of Etten-Leur sees you and wants to put you in the spotlight. As a young caregiver you can receive a goodie bag in addition to the care appreciation voucher! What should you do? Register via the registration form on the Surplus website. After registering, you can pick up your appreciation voucher and googie bag as a token of appreciation on May 9.

You support/care for your partner, child, relative or friend. You are then an informal caregiver. For example, for your partner with cancer, a father with dementia, a friend with manic depression or a child with autism.
The person for whom you are a caregiver is called the care recipient. The care recipient lives independently or in a care facility in the municipality of Etten-Leur.
The caregiver does not have to live in the municipality of Etten-Leur.
No, if you receive payment for support then you cannot apply for Mantelzorgwaardering.
As a caregiver, you do not have to live in the municipality of Etten-Leur yourself. The place of residence of the caretaker is decisive here.
A total of two individuals may apply for a Mantelzorgwaardering for one caregiver.
Did the caregiver die this year? Then you may still apply for Mantelzorgwaardering for this year.
The Mantelzorgwaardering consists of a Mantelzorgbon of €45,-. The Mantelzorgbon is a gift card of KoopLokaal Etten-Leur. You can hand in the Mantelzorgbon at local entrepreneurs in Etten-Leur.
The gift card works very simply. You can spend it both online and in-store.

Yes. As a young caregiver, you may also apply for the caregiver appreciation. In addition, you may also apply for a goodie bag throughout the year.

We process your data in our system. Surplus handles personal data with care, according to the guidelines of the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG). By applying for the Mantelzorgwaardering, the caregiver and the care recipient agree to this.
Are you no longer a family caregiver due to death, moving to another municipality or because family care support is no longer needed?
Via mantelzorg.etten-leur@surplus.nl or Surplus Mantelzorg Etten-Leur 076-501 91 07 you can deregister as a caregiver. We do not receive messages of death from the municipality of Etten-Leur, because of the AVG.
You can apply for the Mantelzorgwaardering (via our informal care appreciation page) between January and March. To do this, you must be registered with us as a caregiver.
No, this is not possible. Each informal caregiver is entitled to one informal care voucher.
