Respite care for family caregivers in Etten-Leur
Do you care intensively for your partner or loved one? If so, you may need to take time for yourself from time to time and temporarily turn the care over to someone else. This is called respite care, also called substitute care.
Respite care can be used in a variety of ways:
Home, in which a volunteer or professional temporarily takes over the care.
Outdoor, such as in a care facility, during a weekend or vacation.
Structural or incidental, depending on what you need.
The Respite Guide Halderberge / Etten-Leur offers an overview of the possibilities in the region. It is wise not to wait until the care becomes too heavy, but to look in time to see which forms of respite care best suit your situation.
Costs and reimbursements of respite care
The cost of respite care in Etten-Leur depends on the facility chosen. In some cases, respite care is free, for example when volunteers provide the care or when it is a public facility. The municipality or health insurer may also reimburse facilities in whole or in part.
Respite care financed (in part) from statutory schemes often requires an indication. Depending on the care needed, this indication is determined.

Lindemolen (formerly Merlinde)
Lindemolen is a short-stay care facility and is located near downtown Breda, on the second floor of Elisabeth residential care center. Care at Lindemolen focuses on recovery and strengthening after a hospitalization or other temporary situation that prevents you from living independently at home for a while. We work with a fixed team of care professionals, consisting of carers, nurses, care assistants, nutrition assistants, a physiotherapist and a specialist in geriatrics. Together with them and possibly your own family doctor, you will work on recovery and increasing self-reliance. Your personal wishes and preferences are the starting point in this. When you have sufficiently recovered and strengthened, Surplus ensures that your transition home goes as smoothly as possible. If necessary, they do this by working with you to see if follow-up care is needed. If necessary, they support in arranging it. See the website of Surplus.
